Instead of conventional steam reforming, GIAP’s Tandem ME technology uses the GIAP’s unique Tandem natural gas conversion solution. In case of such technology, natural gas consumption may be as high as 850 Nm3 per ton of gross methanol production.
Typical capacities for Tandem ME technology: 1500, 2000, 2500, and 3000 tpd.
GIAP’s Tandem ME methanol technology includes the following stages:
1) Natural gas compression;
2) Natural gas desulfurization;
3) Reforming using Tandem technology;
4) Syngas compression;
5) Methanol synthesis;
6) Distillation.
