Ammonia Synthesis Column Packing
The GIAP’s radial packing may be used in any vertical type ammonia synthesis columns. The unique engineering solution implemented in the GIAP’s radial packing can be applied both for new packing fabrication and revamping of existing radial packing.
Additional perforated headers along the circumference of the catalyst basket near the gas feeding wall is a distinctive feature of the GIAP’s synthesis column radial packing.
Modification of syngas feeding inside the radial packing aims at reducing flow resistance and improving specific capacity of synthesis column by expanding the cross-sectional area of syngas feeding channels to the reaction zone and reducing its local velocity.
This engineering solution is easy to implement, allows to reduce flow resistance and improve specific throughput capacity, catalyst service life and overall reactor reliability.
