Throughout its existence GIAP has designed and built 68 nitric acid units in Russia and 5 - in the world
Total capacity of existing АК-72 and АК-72М units on the territory of Russia and CIS countries is over 6 mln.tons per year. This was stated by Deputy general director of GIAP – Director for commerce and development Mr.Oleg Kostin within International Congress and Exhibition "Syngas Nitrogen Uzbekistan and the CIS".
GIAP speaker noted that company revamp solutions for nitric acid units enable to debottleneck the process, transfer the unit to low-temperature selective catalytic reduction and increase capacity up to 60 t/hour and reduce specific natural gas flowrate by 45 m3/t.
Mr.Kostin also touched on unique solutions for nitrogen and methanol industry and spoke of GIAP current and successfully completed projects for ammonia, ammonium nitrate and nitric acid units at PJSC KuybyshevAzot, LLC Gazprom neftekhim Salavat, JSC Neninnomyssky Azot, JSC Kemerovo Azot and many other large chemical plants.
The unique platform of “Syngas Nitrogen Uzbekistan and the CIS” gave an opportunity to discuss the largest investment projects for construction and modernization of production capacities and possibilities of efficiency increase of existing methanol, ammonia and nitrogen fertilizers production plants. The event gathered more than 200 participants from 10 countries including representatives of syngas processing plants, state authorities, regulatory-supervisory authorities, process licensors, developers, manufacturers and suppliers of equipment, engineering and design-construction companies, process and services providers.
