For the expansion of Nizhny Novgorod industry
The GIAP Group got positive State Environmental Expert Review and Glavgosexpertiza of Russia as well as a construction permit for the facility “Chlorine and caustic soda production by membrane electrolysis and epichlorohydrin production by glycerol process”.
This production facility shall be constructed at the territory of JSC Industrial Park Oka-Polymer in Nizhny Novgorod region. The developer is Dzerzhinsk Caprolactam Chlorine Ltd.
GIAP Group experts adapted the basic design and developed project documentation packages. GIAP's scope of works also comprised: environmental impact assessment, preparation of EIA volumes, public hearings and expert appraisals. The next stage of work for GIAP Group will be the development of design documentation packages and construction supervision.
In the course of the project, the company's specialists studied the specifics of chlorine and caustic soda production facilities in the Moscow, Tula and Nizhny Novgorod regions in order to analyze the efficiency of existing technical solutions. The work on the project allowed GIAP Group to build up competences in the field of chlorine and caustic soda production design. Upon successful implementation, the project will be the first epichlorohydrin production facility in Russia and will provide GIAP Group with further prospects for providing engineering services to organic and inorganic chemistry facilities.
