GIAP specialist – Russia's Vice champion in Athletics
GIAP’s Dzerzhinsk Branch Technical Director Olga Zvezdenkova took the silver and bronze medals at the National Athletics Championship among 35-39 Age Group women.
Olga went in for sports as early as in 2013, but took up racing six years afterwards when her son was about to move to a more advanced group of athletes. Hence, they started racing every morning.
This spring, the coach suggested Olga taking part in the Russian Championship, and before that in the Moscow Championship as a trial to get the feeling of contest as you are surrounded by only former champions, Olympians and masters of sports.
Her efforts were repaid in full. On 11-12 March, Olga took the silver for 800 m race and the bronze for 400 m race at the indoors Masters Moscow Championship. And on 1-2 April, she proved her results in Penza by becoming a prize winner at the XXXI Russian Masters Athletics Championship.
Such a goal-orientedness plays the key role in her professional activities thereby helping Olga to cope with challenges and manage workload of her co-workers in a competent fashion.
