The GIAP’s Standalone Division in Dzerzhinsk carries out designer supervision over construction of the Ammonia, Urea, Melamine (AUM) Complex for PJSC Metafrax Chemicals, Gubakha

As reported by Rossiyskaya Gazeta, construction and installation activities are coming to an end, and commissioning is under way on the site. The Complex will produce ammonia, urea and melamine using safe and up-to-date technologies. Thus, the urea process will involve ammonia and carbon dioxide, where the latter will be produced in reforming ovens of the methanol plant. This namely is a distinctive feature of the technology never used before in Russia, which will help reduce carbon dioxide emission in air by 60%.

Investments in the development and implementation of the complex amounted to more than a billion Euro. The project will be of paramount importance for social and economic growth of the Perm Territory: the complex will provide 400 new jobs in the region.
