GIAP’s employees from Dzerzhinsk, Togliatti and Novomoskovsk took part in marathon and successfully covered 3 km, 10 km and 42.2 km distances
The event was attended by more than nine thousand professional and amateur athletes from various Russian cities. The routes ran across quays and bridges of Nizhny Novgorod, Kremlin, Chkalov Stairs, Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, Mayak factory and mansions of Russian merchants.
All participants received an unforgettable experience, and some have already begun to prepare for the next races.
Mikhail Astashin (JSC GIAP, Togliatti): “I would like to thank for the possibility to take part in the marathon. That is my first experience, and I am looking forward to the next one already!”
Margarita Rudnik (LLC NIAP, Novomoskovsk): “I am grateful for such an awesome opportunity! Though it is my first race, I ran 10 km! Nizhny Novgorod is magnificent, the marathon is inspiring, and that left with me a whole lot of impressions!”
The Marathon 800 was named after the 800th anniversary of Nizhny Novgorod when the first mass race for everyone took place.
