
Growth path: from challenges to opportunities!
JSC GIAP’s General Director Egor Krivchun told about the company’s successes and achievements and highlighted the key areas of growth.
The year of 2022 brought new challenges for many people. The rapidly changing situation, breakdown of multiple long-standing connections, and market retargeting revealed an urgent need for new tasks to be set to achieve company operational efficiency.
Unique technologies – basis for growth
Despite the deferment of key gas chemistry investment projects in the GIAP's prospects portfolio, the company managed to complete a number of major projects. Thus, the GIAP team developed FEED packages for expansion of ammonia units to 2,100 tpd. In addition, the specialists concluded the development of design packages for 40,000 tpa melamine unit and 5,400 tpd methanol unit. The both projects were approved by the Main State Expertise Board (GlavGosEkspertiza).
In particular, it is worth noting the construction and start-up of the ammonia nitrate prilling unit, where the Novomoskovsk team was involved in designer supervision.
Transition to Russian technologies is a favorable factor for the company. More than 90 years of experience in the development and engineering of mineral fertilizer plants, deep insight into the market demands and requirements that a modern plant may impose, and highly professional staff place GIAP among the industry leading technology providers.
Among the key contracts that will drive GIAP growth and promotion in the domestic design engineering market in 2023 are contracts for ammonia unit revamping involving engineering and equipment supply services, development of FEED and design packages for ammonia nitrate prilling units, as well as FEED for ammonia unit based on a unique GIAP’s technology.
Thus, having successfully overcome the challenges, GIAP keeps on developing and improving proprietary technologies, which are especially needed by the Russian nitrogen industry as a substitute of western technologies and engineering services.
