Particular emphasis on industrial safety!
The knowledge of design and construction regulatory framework in chemical and oil & gas industries is a key competence of technical staff.
Training and assessment of industrial safety professionals are regulated by Federal Law No. 116-FZ dated 07/21/1997, On industrial safety of hazardous industrial facilities, and RF Governmental Resolution No. 1365 dated October 25, 2019, On training and assessment in industrial safety, safety of hydraulic structures and power industry.
The GIAP’s management pays particular attention to the above activities as the knowledge acquired forms the backbone of engineering solutions and design workmanship.
At present, GIAP’s professionals undergo self training and assessment in industrial safety on a continuous basis, at least every five years. To that end, the GIAP formed an in-house Review Board assessing the managing staff and professionals in industrial safety in accordance with the statutory regulations, established schedule, and by using the tools offered by the RosTekhNadzor’s Unified Test Portal. The GIAP’s Review Board is chaired by NIAP’s General Director Igor Lissyansky.
As told by the Company's industrial safety expert Marina Okorenkova, statutory regulations dictate that industrial safety assessment be passed by the managing staff and professionals involved in the development of operational documents for a hazardous industrial facility, and designer and construction supervision during construction, revamping, and turnaround of hazardous industrial facilities.
Since the establishment of GIAP’s Standalone Subdivision in Dzerzhinsk that is growing rapidly, and where it evolves into a systemic approach, the task is becoming increasingly urgent nowadays.
To meet the assessment head-on after self-training, Technical Directorate’s chief specialist Aleksey Noskov created a trial test program for his workmates that can be used by the specialists to practice their knowledge in a number of fields, including, inter alia, industrial safety fundamentals and design of chemically hazardous industrial facilities, oil refining and petrochemical plants, gas distribution and utilization facilities, as well as pressure equipment and equipment items used at hazardous industrial facilities. This helps technical staff pass the mandatory test consisting of 20 questions in each field with success and better results. The company’s activities related to industrial safety training and assessment of its staff contribute to the growth of competences among the GIAP’s professionals, better quality and reliability of engineering solutions.
