Remembering the Children of War
GIAP’s employees paid tribute to former company specialists who happened to overcome the hardships of the Great Patriotic War.
GIAP’s staff from various locations paid visits to former company employees who since the very beginning of military actions then being children did their utmost helping the adults to anticipate the victory by taking charge of home front labor burdens.
Horrible events of the Great Patriotic War doomed the children of 1928th to 1945th to grow up prematurely. Virtually matching the grown-ups, children worked day and night in the interests of the nation. They cultivated and reap vegetables, collected metal scrap, medicinal herbs, helped search for and send textbooks and copybooks to schools in liberated territories, as well as warm clothes and presents for combatants.
GIAP’s specialists called on their former colleagues, thanked them for their input to the Great Victory and presented with souvenirs. As of today, the company employs 10 children of war who during the post-war period worked in different cities of GIAP operations. We, in the company, remember and appreciate the contribution of each of them. All this promotes continuous communication and continuity of generations.
