Expanding ammonia production capacity in Russia and CIS
The top management of JSC GIAP participated in the 2nd International Forum “Mineral Fertilizers PRO” in Sochi.
The company experts told about the current ammonia plant revamping projects of JSC GIAP and presented the principal diagram of plant revamping.
The forum became the meeting place for the representatives of the industry companies united by endeavor to find new ways for chemical industry development. Over the course of three days the event participants discussed ideas, advanced technologies and innovative approaches that will allow domestic companies to ensure sustainable output and competitiveness in the global mineral fertilizer market.
The Deputy General Director of the Company – Head of Technologies and EP-projects Division Mr. Arkady Merkulov told about GIAP experience in the field of ammonia plant revamping. The expert highlighted that all current ammonia plant revamping projects of GIAP are aimed to increase the capacity to 2100-2300 TPD, optimize the production complex balance and reduce specific consumption of natural gas.
Within his report, the speaker of GIAP presented the principal diagram of ammonia plant revamping and touched on the peculiarities of the comprehensive approach of the company at projects implementation. The manager also told about successfully completed projects of GIAP, among which – increase of ammonia plants’ capacity at JSC Grodno Azot and PJSC Dorogobuzh, construction of new ammonia plant at PJSC Acron and revamping of ammonia plant with capacity increase to 1750 TPD at Gazprom neftekhim Salavat LLC.
The Deputy General Director – Head of Engineering Division Mr. Oleg Kostin participated in the panel discussion for the topic “Development of the mineral fertilizer industry and implementation of projects under the current conditions”.
On the sidelines of the conference, GIAP leaders talked to company clients and representatives of the industry companies.
The International Forum “Mineral Fertilizers PRO” took place on October 2-4, 2024 in Sochi. About 300 representatives of the largest industrial enterprises, engineering companies, equipment and catalyst manufacturers and vendors from Russia and CIS countries participated in this event. Over the course of two days the speakers discussed import substitution of technologies in engineering, price trends for fertilizers, key target markets and implementation of the investment projects under the new conditions.
