Key milestone of the largest investment project in Russia
Main State Expert Board issues approval of the GIAP’s design package and engineering survey deliverables for the Project “5400 Mtpd Methanol Unit for Nakhodka Mineral Fertilizers Plant.
Methanol will be the primary product with 1.8 million tpa production from natural gas in a three-staged reforming process using oxygen. The technology is an innovation reducing carbon footprint of the plant, which will enable the Nakhodka Mineral Fertilizers Plant to secure leadership in building the hydrogen economy.
GIAP set to work under the project in 2019. High professional competences and commitment helped the GIAP’s specialists complete FEED customization, develop design and detail design packages to highest quality standards.
By the Main State Expert Board on March 22, 2023, thereby proving that the project meets all the applicable codes.
The methanol unit will be ramped up to its design capacity in 2025. The Asian-Pacific Region will be its core sales market.
