Melamine-2: top quality documentation
On the New Year’s Eve, GIAP obtained approval by GlavGosEkspertiza of the 40,000 tpa Melamine-2 project for JSC Metafrax Chemicals, Gubakha.
Within the executed contract, GIAP’s employees performed a scope of engineering works, including development of engineering and detail design packages for Melamine-2 unit. Swiss Casale SA acted as the licensor.
The project started in October 2021. High quality, and compliance of design packages and engineering surveys with technical regulations and basis of design were testified by FAU Main Department of State Expertise (GlavGosEkspertiza): GGE’s approval of the project was obtained end December 2022.
The unit is to be integrated into the Ammonia, Urea, Melamine Complex operated by JSC Metafrax Chemicals, which will double the company’s capabilities of melamine production thereby making Metafrax a European leader in melamine output. The unit is designed based on the best available technologies, which brings the Complex in compliance with the environmental and safety standards.
