Conference “GIAP‑2025. Russian Technologies and Engineering in Nitrogen Industry”
The Second Scientific and Practical Conference “GIAP‑2025. Russian Technologies and Engineering in Nitrogen Industry” was held in November 13–14, 2025 in Moscow.
The event gathered representatives of the industry-specific community: mineral fertilizers producers, engineering and R&D companies, equipment manufacturers and vendors, software developers.
Leading companies of the industry, state authorities and financial companies participated in the conference: JSC Minudobreniya, Samoilov Scientific Research Institute for Fertilizers and Insectofungicides (NIUIF), JSC Volgogradneftemash, MT Russia LLC, EuroChem representatives, FAI Glavgosexpertiza of Russia, PJSC Bank VTB, Spetsinvest LLC, JSC ZAVKOM, JSC Ruschem, PJSC NOVATEK, Promvolokno LLC, JSC Nevinnomyssky azot, China Chengda Engineering Co., Ltd., NEW JCM Group Co., Ltd., WUHUAN Engineering Co., Ltd., Turboref Engineering LLC.
Conference covered the most important trends of the nitrogen industry in Russia and the CIS.
The program contained thematic sessions devoted to ammonia, nitric acid and ammonium nitrate production, engineering and equipment.
Artem Starovoytov, the CEO, presented the achievements of the company and emphasized specialists’ level of expert knowledge in development of process solutions and passing of expertises.
Arkady Merkulov, Deputy CEO — Head of Technologies and EP Projects Division analyzed the ammonia sector state and pointed out the key problems of the market.
Valeria Korshunova, Head of Commercial Management Office, spoke about ammonia and urea production sectors statistics arousing keen interest among the audience.
Within ammonia production thematic session GIAP speakers presented the company technologies and spoke about ongoing and implemented ammonia projects, capacities optimization options. JSC Uralkhimmash made a presentation about unique equipment developments.
In session “Nitric acid and ammonium nitrate” GIAP specialists were delivering a presentation jointly with Spetsinvest LLC and Promvolokno LLC.
“Engineering” session was focused on GIAP experience in cooperation with foreign licensors, approaches to passing State expertise procedure in the RF and the RoB. Vitro Soft LLC and IT Land participated in this session.
The first day ended with a gala dinner and awards ceremony: to Samoilov Scientific Research Institute for Fertilizers and Insectofungicides (NIUIF) — in nomination “Technology of growth”, to JSC Ruschem – in nomination “The company of great expectations”, to PJSC Novatek — in nomination “Promising vector”.
On the second day of the conference the papers were delivered by STRONG, Resol, RPC Entechmach and Equipment Design and Fabrication Center of KJSC Azot and were dedicated to the manufactured equipment, catalysts and peculiarities of cooperation with Clients.
The Equipment Management Office of GIAP presented a report about the company’s process equipment, experience in reviving the production of unique ammonia service high-pressure equipment in Russia.
As a wrap-up of the conference GIAP CEO thanked the participants for the papers and discussions emphasizing the contribution of the event to the industry community consolidation. Artem Starovoytov expressed confidence that the conference will be held on a regular basis in the future.
The conference proved GIAP importance as a center of competences in nitrogen industry and created a platform for experience exchange, brainstorming of challenges and cooperative search of ways out by leading market players.
