
GIAP obtained positive approval of the State Construction Examination Authorities of the Republic of Belarus (Glavgosstroyekspertiza)
On June 6, GIAP received approval from the State Construction Examination Authorities of the Republic of Belarus (Glavgosstroyekspertiza) for the project “Construction of 1.500 TPD ammonium nitrate plant for JSC Grodno Azot”.
This is the first project of such scale for GIAP in Belarus and the largest new construction project in the nitrogen industry in the Republic over the past 5 years.
The project has been implemented with consideration of all the requirements of the Belarusian legislation and strict environmental regulations. The construction site is located close to a water body what required special attention to environmental safety issues.
In the course of implementation, the following tasks were successfully solved: full compliance with strict environmental requirements, adaptation of project documentation to the norms and standards of the Republic of Belarus, ensuring energy efficiency in accordance with the state priorities.
GIAP used a comprehensive approach to the project implementation which included a preliminary examination and certification of specialists at Belstroycenter, close cooperation with ministries and departments concerned, and parallel development of architectural and equipment engineering projects.
Thanks to the teamwork of specialists from JSC GIAP and JSC Grodno Azot the project successfully passed all stages of the expertise within timeframes established by the legislation. The next implementation stage is handover of the Civil project to the Customer to select the general contractor and start construction works.
