GIAP took part in the Competitive Purchase Leader award ceremony
The primary purpose of the event was to draw attention to the most significant procurement projects.
The GIAP presented project was dedicated to the centralization of procurement activities, which helped improve the efficiency of the company’s financial and utilities units. The project team managed to implement the concept in a matter of three months. During this time, specialists reviewed the current company’s procurement activities, updated the required documents and implemented the project in all the company’s branches.
The fundamental modification resided in the development of GIAP’s own electronic trading platform (ETP), which strengthened procurement administration efforts, helped elaborate a consistent procurement approach to be used by branches and created a healthy competitive environment, thereby attracting more vendors on a free of charge basis. ETP formed basis for introducing a number of tools and functions, among which are requests for proposals and quotations, pre-qualification and rebidding. The key point was to improve transparency of procurement procedures: today, more than a thousand of vendors are logged in to the platform.
- Thus, within three months, we moved from scattered procurements to centralized vendor selection, planning and management of the evaluation system. At present, 90% of procurements are made through ETP, noted the JSC GIAP's Head of Procurement Maxim Glebov. - We always deliver high-end services, and ETP will also help improve the quality of vendor and contractor inspections.
The award ceremony was attended by 148 largest Russian companies – PJSC Tatneft, PJSC Severstal, SC Detskiy Mir, LLC Sibur, etc.
Winners were nominated by the Public Council composed of 160 independent experts.
