GIAP took part in the 4th International Congress and Exhibition “Syngas Nitrogen Uzbekistan and CIS”
Arkady Merkulov, Deputy CEO – Head of Technologies and EP Projects Division, and Sergey Gorlov, Head of Large-scale Projects Implementation Management Office represented GIAP in N&S Congress on November 19-21, 2025 in Tashkent.
Mr. Merkulov made a presentation on “Future of nitrogen industry in Russia: main development trajectories and trends” at the second session of the first day of the event. The Speaker investigated current condition of ammonia production: capacities and capacities utilization, unscheduled outage, talked about changes in investment projects trends over the past 3 years. Arkady emphasized that the main tendency of the industry development shall be construction of new production plants with enhanced production capacities, optimized cost, implementation and payback schedule.
The Congress and Exhibition served once again an international professional platform for the industry leading companies of Uzbekistan and CIS. This event collected the major businesses and enterprises, government authorities, equipment manufacturers, as well as engineering, design & construction companies, technologies and services suppliers.
This event was devoted to discussion of the largest investment projects of construction and modernization of production capacities, as well as opportunities for efficiency enhancement of existing production plants of nitrogen, methanol, ammonia and fertilizers.
