GIAP presented AM‑76 Ammonia Plant revamping project at the International Forum “Ammonia and Methanol PRO”
The representatives of JSC GIAP are taking part in the 3rd International Forum “Ammonia and Methanol PRO” which takes place in Kazan on March 18–19. The event is organized by Infoconnect Pro.
Aleksandr Shevchenko, Head of Business Development Management Office of JSC GIAP, presented a report in the first session of the forum. He presented AM‑76 Ammonia Plant revamping project.
Among the main results of the first revamping stage – plant capacity increase from 1,620 TPD to 1,750 TPD and reduction of natural gas consumption by 70 m³/t. The scheduled second stage will allow to increase plant capacity to 2,100 TPD. The key solution will include installation of a heat exchange reforming reactor.
The revamping of air compressor implemented at the first stage already considers future increase in capacity, therefore further modernization will require minimum changes.
Aleksandr Shevchenko emphasized that GIAP has vast experience and all the necessary competences for successful implementation of ammonia plant revamping projects.
Arkady Merkulov, Deputy CEO - Head of Technologies and EP Projects Division, took part in the key panel session of the forum. Together with the heads of the chemical enterprises and engineering companies he discussed the current state and development prospects of the Russian nitrogen industry, main challenges facing the industry and interaction with equipment vendors.
