GIAP congratulates on the Designer's Day!
Design engineers in Russia celebrate their professional holiday on the 16th of November. The GIAP team joins the congratulations as for many years it specializes in providing comprehensive engineering support to mineral fertilizers plants.
The State Nitrogen Institute (GIA) was established as far as in 1931, and after the merge in 1943, it evolved from GIPROAzot, nitrogen plant designing contractor, thus marking the start of GIAP’s history.
In fact, the history is real impressing: the solutions elaborated by the GIAP’s scientific and engineering staff gave way to the world’s largest and most technologically advanced nitrogen industry.
GIAP’s talented and proficient manpower designed about 70 ammonia units ranging from 55 to 450 ktpa, 87x120,000 tpa weak nitric acid units, 12x380,000 tpa nitric acid AK-72 units, 23 ammonia nitrate units, 6 caprolactam units sized for 50-80 ktpa, 15 methanol units totaling 3,664 ktpa of capacity, and 5 acetylene units. All the above projects were fully completed.
In the recent decade, GIAP performed a significant scope of revamping units at ammonia, nitric acid, and ammonia nitrate plants whereby reducing consumption rates, air pollutant emissions, and aligning the existing units with emerging requirements, higher capacity, etc.
The company strives to keep the momentum. While improving continuously, at present GIAP offers unique technologies for both brand new and existing ammonia and methanol plants, which helps raise the capacity substantially and cut harmful emissions into the environment.
