
GIAP Group’s company press release announced that GIAP as General Designer of Methanol Plant Construction Project for Nakhodka Fertilizer Plant (NFP) prepares package of documents for State Environmental Expert Review considering comments received at Public hearings.
Public hearings on EIA materials and Design Documentation for NFP facilities (methanol production plant, marine terminal and wastewater treatment units) were held on March in Nakhodka city.
During the Public hearings the Designers presented reports on construction facilities and environmental protection measures as well as replied to public questions regarding process design solutions that will be used to ensure safety during construction & operation.
Aleksandr Okusov (Technical Director of GIAP) highlighted the characteristics and distinctive features of accepted technical solutions ensuring industrial, fire & environmental safety and reported on the results of environmental impact evaluation. He also responded to the questions.
“All comments and suggestions received from public representatives have been recorded and will be examined on a mandatory basis by the Customer, Nakhodka Fertilizer Plant. The information will be taken into account while elaborating the final version of Environmental Impact Assessment and Design Documentation which will further be submitted to State Environmental Expert Review”, he noted.
NFP is an anchor resident of TAD "Neftehimicheskiy". The Production Complex will include 1.8 mln. tpy methanol plant.
