GIAP, Krastsvetmet and EVRAZ Engineering unite forces in the field of AI automation of engineering design
GIAP, Krastsvetmet and EVRAZ Engineering signed a memorandum of cooperation. The agreement was signed on February 3, 2026 in Moscow. The document fixed the parties’ intentions for joint development and implementation of AI technologies in the field of engineering design of construction facilities.
Key goals of cooperation will be acceleration of generative AI technologies development in the field of civil and process design, as well as reduction of the risks associated with innovations, improvement of engineering solutions efficiency by automating routine intellectual work. The parties specifically highlight the importance of human role in making decisions impacting safety of the technically complicated and hazardous facilities.
Among potential results of generative AI technologies implementation in design — considerable reduction of design solutions development time, possibility of parallel elaboration of multiple versions of the projects, design solutions optimization, prompt introduction of changes into design solutions and automation of materials procurement planning operations.
In the near future the cooperative agreement participants will arrange joint consultations to determine priority areas of focus and a round of joint measures to elaborate technical and organizational issues.

Krastsvetmet has been actively implementing artificial intelligence (AI) technologies for several years as part of digitalization of the processes. The company scales up application of AI and optimizes the works, improves efficiency and reduces risks.
