Ammonia branch demands changes
GIAP representatives participated in the 2nd International Forum “Ammonia and Methanol PRO” in Kazan.
Deputy General Director - Head of Technologies and EP-projects division, Arkady Merkulov made a presentation at the first session.
The GIAP expert spoke about the current problems of the industry and emphasized the necessity to revamp the existing production facilities, as well as the importance of preparation for construction of new units with mandatory state support. The recovery of the Russian chemical engineering industry remains an important issue.
Arkady focused on the need for a customized approach to each project and used current GIAP projects as an example.
During the forum, Oleg Kostin Deputy General Director - Head of Engineering division, and Arkady Merkulov, Deputy General Director - Head of Technologies and EP-projects division took part in the industry-specific roundtables.
The ways to develop the Russian chemical industry and process solutions for key industry projects came up for discussion during the event. Production automation and import substitution in the field of equipment and catalysts were also on the agenda.
The Forum attracted over 200 participants, including representatives of JSC Grodno Azot, JSC Ammoni, Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat LLC, JSC MCC Eurochem, KAO Azot, JSC Metafrax Chemicals, UCC Shchekinoazot.
