65 years of confidence from our Clients
One of the GIAP’s branches, the Novomoskovsk office is celebrating its 65th anniversary. By developing 3D modelling and introducing innovative technologies, the Institute continues to grow dynamically and offers engineering services to the Russian largest industrial companies.
During the golden age of the chemical industry, GIAP embodied nine branches within the USSR, where the Novomoskovsk branch was the largest and most innovative office with about two thousand employees. The branch organization also included a pilot catalyst plant, which allowed innovative technologies and brand new catalysts to be developed and introduced in chemical plants in an efficiently manner and within the shortest possible time.
“Keep Moving Forward is the company’s motto, as thanks to the team with unique competences – knowledge and experience, motivation and mutual assistance, teamwork abilities, commitment and mutual respect, we keep on developing sound and safe design solutions”, remarks Egor Krivchun, GIAP’s General Director.
At the outset of its activities, the branch’s specialists expanded an ammonia plant and built a liquid ammonia storage for Novomoskovsk Azot. In the 1970’s, the specialists were deeply involved in engineering an ammonia plant for Minudobreniya, Rossosh, and then proceeded to expanding the Novomoskovsk Azot's ammonia plant to 650 ktpa and shifting it to methanol. In the 1980’s, the specialists completed a remarkable job for Shchekinoazot regarding a pilot adipic acid plant.
Over 65 years, the Institute's team overcame a lot of difficulties by demonstrating their professional attitude and sincere commitment to what they do. Even in the hard times of the 2000's when many institutes’ manpower shrank every day due to the lack of work, the branch not only retained their staff, but even enriched it by recruiting young specialists. Thus, by maintaining and developing the continuity of generations, the Institute managed to create a unique ecosystem where the older generation’s knowledge multiplied by state-of-the-art technologies is used to develop sound and safe design solutions.
With no fear to face complicated tasks, the GIAP’s Novomoskovsk office staff is involved in the design of individual units and entire plants by using up-to-date approaches and advanced software solutions, such as AVEVA, Teklа, Bently, Autodesk (Revit, Civil, AutoCAD). The geography of the completed projects is astonishing: as of today, the Institute’s projects are successfully implemented on more than 50 industrial sites in Russia, as well as in the Central Asia, Bulgaria, German Democratic Republic, Egypt, Mongolia, India and Cuba.
