GIAP: 93 years of high quality and unique technologies
GIAP celebrated its 93rd birthday. Employees from Moscow, Dzerzhinsk, Novomoskovsk and Togliatti offices participated in the celebration of this significant event.
The company history started on March 15, 1931, when by the Decree of the council of the all-union VSNKh the State Research Institute of Nitrogen was created, which later was combined with the State Institute for Design of Nitrogen Plants and Industrial Complexes to GIAP.
The Institute’s team included very talented and gifted specialists, whose efforts successfully contributed to the design of nitrogen fertilizer-producing plants and development of new catalysts for ammonia oxidation.
Time passed, GIAP employees achieved new technology breakthrough – developed methanol and hydrogen synthesis technology, new ammonia plants with increased capacity, as well as diluted nitric acid production schemes. There were about 180 projects implemented in total for the production of ammonia, methanol, nitric and adipic acid, ammonium nitrate, caprolactam, thanks to which more than 700 production plants have been constructed in the USSR.
GIAP today is no longer just an institute, but a technology leader in industrial field proposing sophisticated technologies, high-quality engineering, equipment and project management to Clients. GIAP’s staff consists of true professionals who sincerely love their work. Together they continue to implement large-scale projects which contribute to the industry development.
On the day of celebration, Egor Krivchun, the General Director, congratulated GIAP’s staff having highlighted special position of GIAP in the field.
